@Blood Pressure 101: Normal Ranges, Risks, and More

Introduction

Blood Pressure: A Silent Killer. Let's try to understand blood pressure with simple examples. Blood pressure means blood pressure. When the pressure of blood in the veins (arteries) increases above normal due to some problem or disease, it is called blood pressure. This happens due to many reasons.
Brain diseases
Let's break it down simply: Blood Pressure (BP) is when the force of blood flowing through your veins is too high. It's like when you squeeze a water hose, and the water shoots out harder 😊.

When a person's blood pressure increases continuously, it affects the veins. Often, with the increase in blood, there is an increase in fat (cholesterol) in the veins, which is why it has an additional effect on the heart. Since fat accumulates in these veins and due to this, blood pressure increases. There are many reasons for this. Due to some disease or heart, brain, or kidney disease, most patients have high blood pressure. An easy way to find out blood pressure is to calculate the total age of the person whose normal blood pressure is to be found by counting half of it and adding 100 to it, then the normal blood pressure will be found. This means that if someone is 50 years old, then adding 25 to 100 will give 125, and then this person will have normal blood pressure.

*What's Normal BP?*

Before talking about high blood pressure, it should be known what the blood pressure of a normal person should be. Blood pressure is the condition of the body in which the heart uses the force to pump blood throughout the body. As a result of this force, the pressure exerted on the veins is called blood pressure. The pressure exerted on the veins as a result of this force is called blood pressure. When the heart expands and pumps blood into itself, it is called diastolic pressure. It is usually between 70 and 90 degrees. When the heart expels blood from itself to circulate throughout the body, it is called systolic pressure. It is usually between 110 and 120. The blood pressure of an average healthy person of 40 years of age is 120/80.

A simple way to figure out normal BP is: take half of your age and add 100. For example, if you're 40, half of 40 is 20, add 100 = 120. So, 120/80 is a good BP reading for a 40-year-old.

*How BP Works*When the heart draws blood from the body into itself, it is called diastolic pressure.

When that blood is sent out of the heart to the whole body under pressure, it is called systolic pressure.
That is, the blood coming from the outside of the body towards the heart is called diastolic pressure.
And the blood going from the outside of the heart to the body is called systolic pressure.

- *Systolic Pressure*: When your heart pumps blood out to your body (top number, around 120).

- *Diastolic Pressure*: When your heart relaxes and fills with blood (bottom number, around 80).

*High BP Risks*
